Could you please forward the message? Thanks, Mykhaylo ____________________ Dear Students, The OPIE Writing Lab is currently hiring tutors for the academic year of 2014-2015. We need tutors who have decent writing skills and solid ideas about what makes a piece of writing effective or weak. These tutors must also work well in an ESL setting. The students/tutees that are involved in the Lab this year come from our advanced ESL classes. They usually need extra help with their writing in order to be able to advance to the part-time or full-time academic level. We will also serve students who come from our part-time English study levels. The tutors will be able to work up to 8-10 hours a week, guaranteed 5 hours, with a starting pay of $8.00 an hour (undergraduates) with a raise of $0.50 after working 3 consecutive quarters. Graduate pay would start at $10.00 an hour with also a raise of $0.50 after working 3 consecutive quarters. The training time will also be paid. The tutors will work 30 minute increments in Gordy Hall with hours set from 6-8:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday with longer hours on Wednesdays (3:30pm-8:30pm). Please send your resume and a short cover letter expressing your interest in the position to my e-mail ( zakryzhe at ohio.edu ) or directly to Gordy Hall 107. The hiring will continue until the positions are filled. I will e-mail and/or call them with possible interview times and start dates.
