The journal is dedicated to promoting and disseminating academic work of scholars, practitioners and students. To that end, the journal intends to create a collaborative academic community, which informs practice and engenders educational reform when appropriate. EPR editors are seeking manuscripts that align with the scope and focus of the journal. Scope and Focus: The journal publishes academic work that addresses the challenges of schooling in K-12 and higher educational settings. Because our publication genre is broad, it uniquely serves the academy and K-12 environments equally. We believe that educational reform and practice must exist simultaneously; therefore, we seek to offer an academic space for scholars, practitioners and students. Thus, the journal publishes articles in the following categorical listings: research articles, essays/commentaries andpedagogical experiences. Research Articles: Research articles are defined as manuscripts which explore/discuss original research studies and findings. These articles may utilize any type of research methodology (qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods, or action research). In such a capacity, research articles should conform to conventional practices within the academy when appropriate (literature review, methods, analysis, etc.). Essays/Commentaries: Essays/commentaries are scholarly articles which are free of academic jargon and should have a concise argument/thesis that explores an educational topic. Pedagogical Experiences: Pedagogical experiences are scholarly articles that focus on educational practice and experiences. They should be narrative in nature and should provide readers with a concise description of one’s classroom experience. Pedagogical experiences might also include teacher as researcher pieces, in which practitioners share action research efforts, highlighting practical applications based on the research findings. Submission guidelines: * Manuscripts should follow APA guidelines. * Manuscripts should also contain an abstract that succinctly summarizes the manuscript. * All manuscripts should be submitted electronically to: http://journals.radford.edu/index.php/EPR/index Manuscripts will be reviewed using a traditional blind peer review process. For more information about the journal and to submit a manuscript, please register at the journal website: http://journals.radford.edu/index.php/EPR/index. Leslie S.
