<p class="x_MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal">I wanted to pass along a bit of good news. Yao Liu and Shirley Zhao were MS students in our department back in the 1990s. They have just finalized a gift of $25,000 to endow �the LZ Math Scholarship�, an award intended to support an
undergraduate student in our department. It will still be a couple of years before money from this scholarship fund will be available for award, but it�s nice to see that some of the work we�ve been doing with donors is starting to bear fruit for our students.</p>
