Subject: [Fellows] Help spread the word about the Princeton EEB Scholars Program
To:

Dear friends and colleagues,

Princeton is launching the EEB Scholars Program< https://eeb.princeton.edu/graduate/eeb-scholars-program
>, a special preview weekend for prospective graduate students. Our hope is that this program will encourage students from backgrounds typically underrepresented in STEM fields to apply to Princeton's EEB program. The program aims to showcase the department, demystify the graduate application process, and highlight student research for competitive graduate applicants.

Attached is a flyer with more information about the program. This program is open to all prospective graduate students, including undergraduate juniors and seniors, and we especially encourage students from underrepresented minority groups and those inhabiting other axes of diversity to apply. The application requires a 1-page personal statement, a CV, an unofficial transcript, and 2 letters of recommendation, and is due July 15, 2018.

Could you share this information with any students who might be interested and benefit from this program, as well as circulate it throughout your department? Any help in spreading the word would be much appreciated.

(For those of us working to increase representation of underrepresented minorities in our fields, this program is an example of one kind of effort toward that end.)

I'd be happy to discuss further and/or answer any questions from you, your colleagues, and any interested students.

Thanks so much,
Talia
