[Ocees] Announcements Monday March 30th

Dear All,

I hope that everyone is well and coping with social distancing and isolation. COVID-19 has clearly introduced new challenges as we try to maintain some normalcy to our lives. I am still trying to figure out the best way to do the online teaching and figure out if a field season will even be possible this summer. Anyway, here are some updates as to what is (not) happening with OCEES.

1)     The graduate student fellowships will still go forward, but if the pandemic prevents planned work then we will work with the department to offer flexibility if the funds are available.

2)     Shawn is working to update the webpage and trying to get something new in place before the beginning of the next academic year.

3)     Ecolunch has been cancelled for the remainder of the semester. Students will receive a grade based on the first 8 weeks with the expectation that those scheduled to present in the second half of the semester will fill the early slots of the Fall semester.
