Hi everyone, if you are doing Ohio-focused work on any vertebrate organism, the Ohio Wildlife Conference is still accepting abstracts for student posters (see below and attached announcement).

While this conference has been seen as a game wildlife-focused event, in recent years it has switched to a broad conservation, ecology and management conference, thanks to student research in all areas of animal ecology. The attendance has also been shifting to encompass a broader audience including a lot of members of the general public.

BIOS has been having a strong student presence lately, and let’s keep this momentum. It’s a great event to showcase your research and make an impact on animal conservation in Ohio.

Your OWMA board is hoping that this fall season finds you well!


We are approaching some important deadlines for the 2021 Wildlife Management Conference.


Submission of abstracts for a presentation is open until October 23rd.



Submission for posters is open until November 13th.


Abstracts can be sent to OWMA President Elect Cody Grasser ( cgrasser at pheasantsforever.org

Confirmed speakers will need to submit their recorded presentations by January 8th, 2021.


The 2021 OWMA Board will have an opening for President Elect. Nominations will be open until January 1st. Watch your inbox for more information regarding this opening coming soon.


The 2021 Wildlife Management Virtual Conference will begin January 22nd.

More information on where to access conference presentations is coming soon as well.

·  Please feel free to encourage student and researcher abstract submission for presentations and posters. Attached is a flyer that you are welcome to share.
