Hi all,

I just heard from Lisa Cooper and Jesse Young, who are evolutionary morphologists at NEOMED. They're opening up their Integrated Musculoskeletal Biology course to grad students throughout Ohio. Here's an excerpt from Lisa's email: "I am reaching out to let you know that the faculty of NEOMED will be offering a team-taught course focused on musculoskeletal biology in the Spring semester.  Attached is the flyer. Because of COVID, we are offering lectures via Zoom.   The course will cover embryology, evo-devo, cell-molecular biology, biomechanics, and include both lectures via and some voluntary in-person labs.  We are encouraging grad students around Ohio to join us."

Whether OU students actually could get course credit is something we'd have to explore. There no doubt would be steps to take. Please let me know if anyone wants to take it for credit, and I'll look into it.

I'm CCing our OCEES morph grad students, for whom it'd be most relevant, but it may be of interest to others. Moreover, the concept of opening up certain kinds of courses (or academic activities more generally) to students outside OU is interesting. Certainly one of the positive outcomes of the Coronazoic Era is our increased collective comfort with interacting productively over Zoom/Teams. State and federal funding agencies would likely see real value in such efforts.
