This Weeks announcements

  2.  Reminder - Graduate Student Fellowship Program proposals are due 30 January.
  3.  Students are encouraged to present their work at the upcoming Research Expo in April, limited number of slots because of COVID so apply sooner rather than later.   4.  Janette Perez-Jimenez has agreed to manage our social media, primarily twitter and Facebook for this semester. Twitter is becoming more and more of an outlet for research and other accomplishments (e.g. students successfully defending or passing other milestones in their career) for many programs around the world. OCEES's current twitter account has almost 600 followers and most of these are at other institutions. When I perused our followers, I was quite surprised and impressed with who was following us and quickly realized that we should be more active in either posting ourselves or sending our accomplishments to Janette for her to post, preferably with a picture. It will be great exposure and enhance the recruitment in our graduate programs and our reputation overall. Forward to - Perez-Jimenez, Janette jp195121 at ohio.edu
