his Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Michigan in 1988 for work on the evolutionary biology of Darwin�s Finches. He completed postdoctoral fellowships at Queen�s University and McMaster University, took a position as an Assistant
Professor in the Department of Biology, McMaster University before moving to Ohio State in 2001. He has broad research interests in the Evolutionary Biology, Molecular Ecology, and Conservation Genetics with special focuses on using snake venoms as a model
