Hi Everyone!

Greetings; I hope you are having a good week.

You will find attached to this message the agenda for this Saturday's class session, October 6. Might you review the agenda in advance of the class session?

Some of the items in the attached agenda were included in the September agenda. However, we did not get to them at that time. For that matter, we may not be able to address on Saturday all of the items in the attached agenda.

Please read Jean Anyon's article "Social Class and the Hidden Curriculum of Work," prior to this Saturday's class session. A link to the article can be found in the agenda.

The front door to the Waverly Junior High School and the door to its library should be open by 8:30 a.m. I would like to begin the class session at 9:00 a.m. or thereabouts, take lunch from noon until about 1:15 p.m., and dismiss by 4:30 p.m.

You will also find attached to this message a revised version of the cohort/instructor expectations. Please be prepared to react to and to discuss them.

You will need a laptop or a tablet and a copy of the Hoy and Miskel text.
