...DISCUSSION...

TODAY WILL START OUT SUNNY...BUT CLOUDS WILL BE ON THE INCREASE AS
AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE MOVES TOWARD THE REGION FROM THE MIDWEST.
IT WILL BRING SOME LIGHT SNOW OR FLURRIES TO PORTIONS OF THE AREA
LATE THIS AFTERNOON INTO TONIGHT...ESPECIALLY SOUTHEAST OHIO AND
NORTHERN WEST VIRGINIA.

THAT SYSTEM MOVES OUT MONDAY...LEAVING CHILLY WEATHER IN ITS WAKE
WITH A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF CLOUDINESS HANGING AROUND. A MUCH
MORE IMPORTANT LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL APPROACH MONDAY NIGHT AND
MOVE THROUGH THE AREA TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT. THIS SYSTEM IS
LIKELY TO BRING SNOW TO EASTERN KENTUCKY AND THE SOUTHWEST PORTION
WEST VIRGINIA...SAY UP THROUGH CHARLESTON...BY DAWN TUESDAY.

SNOW WILL THEN OVERSPREAD MUCH OF WEST VIRGINIA AND SOUTHEAST OHIO
TUESDAY. HOWEVER...AS WARMER ARE MOVES UP FROM THE SOUTH DURING
THE DAY...THE PRECIPITATION WILL MIX WITH AND THEN CHANGE TO SLEET
AND FREEZING RAIN TUESDAY AFTERNOON...AND THEN PERHAPS JUST RAIN FOR
A TIME TUESDAY NIGHT...FOR SOUTHERN AND EVEN CENTRAL WEST VIRGINIA.

KEEP TUNED TO THE LATEST FORECASTS AS THE POTENTIAL FOR SEVERAL
INCHES SNOW ACCUMULATION AND THEN SOME ICE ACCUMULATION WILL LIKELY
WARRANT THE ISSUANCE OF WATCHES AND THEN WARNINGS AS THE EVENT DRAWS
NEAR.
