...SYNOPSIS...

CLOUDS AND SHOWERS ARE LIKELY TODAY AS A WARM FRONT AFFECTS THE AREA
AHEAD OF A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM ORGANIZING IN THE SOUTH PLAINS.
TEMPERATURES WILL BE MILD IN SOUTHWESTERLY FLOW...AND WILL STAY MILD
TONIGHT. COVERAGE AND INTENSITY OF THE RAIN WILL INCREASE SUNDAY NIGHT.

THE ASSOCIATED STRONG COLD FRONT MOVES ACROSS MONDAY AFTERNOON.
THIS WILL BRING PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN AND GUSTY WINDS.
THE STRONGEST GUSTS MOST LIKELY IN THE HEAVIEST SHOWERS AND POSSIBLE
THUNDERSTORMS. WHILE BRIEF HEAVY RAIN IS POSSIBLE...THIS SYSTEM
SHOULD MOVE ALONG RATHER QUICKLY.

SNOW SHOWERS ARE POSSIBLE IN THE MOUNTAINS BY TUESDAY MORNING...AS
THE COLDER AIR BEHIND THE COLD FRONT SWEEPS INTO THE AREA. THE AIR
MASS IS NOT REAL COLD...SO TEMPERATURES ON TUESDAY SHOULD ACTUALLY
TOP OUT AROUND NORMAL AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS INTO THE AREA.

THE HIGH PRESSURE AND QUIETER WEATHER WILL PREVAIL THROUGH
THURSDAY...WITH TEMPERATURES A BIT ABOVE NORMAL.
THE NEXT CHANCE OF RAIN ARRIVES FRIDAY OR SATURDAY.
