...DISCUSSION...

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE ON THE INCREASE TODAY...AS A COLD
FRONT APPROACHES THE REGION. OUT AHEAD OF THE FRONT...A WARM
SOUTHWESTERLY BREEZE WILL KEEP TEMPERATURES RATHER WARM TODAY...WITH
MANY LOCATIONS TOPPING OUT IN THE UPPER 80S TO LOWER 90S. THE COLD
FRONT CROSSES MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING...TAKING THE SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS WITH IT. HIGH PRESSURE WILL BRING A DRY INTERLUDE
TUESDAY AFTERNOON INTO WEDNESDAY...ALTHOUGH THE FRONT WILL STALL CLOSE
BY ACROSS THE SOUTHERN APPALACHIANS. A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL PULL
THE FRONT BACK NORTH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND NIGHT...BRINGING BACK THE
CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. THE LOW ITSELF SHOULD CROSS
THE AREA THURSDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHT...SO THAT IS WHEN WET WEATHER
IS MOST LIKELY.
