Research interests:My research interest is on gender and society in British colonial Kenya. I will investigate how male labor migration to the cities and colonial projects separated families in Eastern Kenya, leaving some women as the sole providers for their families.

I was awarded these funds for my travel expenses during my M.A. thesis research in Kenya in the Summer of 2024.
