Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion at Ohio University
Make Respect Visible Week is an inaugural event at Ohio University dedicated to promoting respectful interactions through facilitated dialogues, cross-cultural exchanges, and activities. The week aims to aid community members in:
-
Expanding Perspectives
Exposure to viewpoints, perspectives, identities, or cultures outside their usual circles
-
Cross-Cultural Relationship-Building
Making connections across intercultural differences
-
Uplifting Voices
Providing opportunities for voices to be heard and elevated
-
Combating Hate and Polarization
Creating bridges of understanding to decrease hate and polarization
Make Respect Visible Week is especially important in these polarizing political times, offering opportunities for conversations about respectful discourse and freedom of speech. We invite all students, staff, and faculty to participate and help make respect visible!
