Admission Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree: Applicants are expected to have a bachelor’s degree in music education from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university or equivalent.
- Official Transcripts of all academic work showing a 3.0 GPA must be submitted with the online application.
- Licensure:You must hold a currently valid teaching license. Please indicate your currently valid license number on the application. If teaching in a non-traditional educational setting, a letter of reference from your supervisor and any certificates should be submitted in your application in lieu of a license number.
- Resume or Curriculum Vitaethat describes applicant's previous education, work, teaching, and research experience, professional affiliations, community and volunteer experience, honors and awards, and/or publications.
- One Letter of recommendationare required. They can be from former employers, instructors, advisers, or persons otherwise having had a professional or academic experience with you.
- Brief Statement of Qualifications and Professional Goals:
- Describe your personal and professional background, including teacher preparation, teaching field, and teaching experiences;
- Describe your current and long-range professional goals.
- Note: A separate writing sample is NOT required.
- English Proficiency: Please review information about Ohio University’s English Language Proficiency requirements.
- A $50 application feeis associated with the submission of your application for this program.
