Lillien is a senior mechanical engineering student from Rocky River, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland that borders Lake Erie. She became interested in engineering and hands on learning after taking a high school class in where she learned to disassemble and rebuild motorcycles. She knew Ohio University was her home when she started taking classes and got to experience the collaborative atmosphere of the engineering college.
Outside of Engineering Ambassadors, Lillien is the Captain of the OHIO University Cheerleading Team and can be seen on the sidelines at every home football and basketball game. She is also the current president of Pi Tau Sigma, the Mechanical Engineering Honor Society. Both co-curriculars have helped Lillien grow as a person and provided her with amazing opportunities.
Over the summer, Lillien interned at Lubrizol Headquarters in Wickliffe, Ohio. She experienced R&D for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed her experience. There she developed an Aeration Benchtop Test Method and designed lab support equipment using 3D printing technology. Lillien is currently deciding between graduate school and industry for the future.
In her free time Lillien enjoys hanging out with friends and going to Strouds Run State Park.
