James Hamilton
Event Marketing Specialist
James Hamilton is an award-winning photographer and graphic designer whose work has been featured throughout southeastern Ohio, at venues such as the Markay Cultural Arts Center, the French Art Colony, and the Pump House Center for the Arts. Common subjects in his photography include nature and wildlife, live performances, and cosplay. James also enjoys experimenting with vintage cameras and techniques in addition to modern digital photography.
He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Rio Grande in 2012. Over the next decade, James honed his skills as a graphic designer and photographer at news and media outlets across the region, including The Athens Messenger and Total Media–Jackson County Broadcasting. In addition to his design and marketing work, James has specialized in video content, creating online news segments, producing the daily community talk show Main Street TV , and filming and editing the live concert series Homegrown Happy Hour .
Based in Jackson, Ohio, James is an active member of the arts community, serving on the board of trustees for the Southern Hills Arts Council since 2022. He has also joined the growing ranks of millennials that now count birding and home gardening as hobbies and has stronger opinions on sunflowers and goldfinch than ever expected.
