Student Affairs launches strategic planning website

The Division of Student Affairs has launched a new website, in an effort to keep the University apprised of its on-going strategic planning efforts. The site will help to keep the campus community informed as the division works toward the publication of a new strategic plan in March 2018.

"Our hope is that the site will serve as a public resource for anyone who wants to stay up-to-date on the direction of student affairs at Ohio University," said Jenny Hall-Jones, senior associate vice president for student affairs and dean of students, who is spearheading the division’s strategic planning process.

DOSA’s strategic planning website features:

  • An overview and timeline of the planning process
  • A list of upcoming feedback sessions and open forums
  • Planning principals informed by DOSA staff
  • A recap of feedback collected to date
  • Avenues through which to provide additional feedback
  • Quotes from University colleagues about the process
  • Archived strategic plans

The division is committed to engaging with a broad range of University constituents and partners to prioritize the needs of OHIO students and redefine the scope of student services at OHIO. Students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to submit their thoughts and ideas by emailing studentaffairs@ohio.edu or by participating in a brief survey about the future of student affairs at Ohio University. Responses will help to inform the strategic plan that is being developed.

Feedback may also be given in person by attending the division’s open forums. All University and community members are welcome to attend one of four forums in September:
