Ohio University’s campus buzzed with the energy of new Bobcats and their guests throughout the month of June as incoming students attended Bobcat Student Orientation (BSO). Students and their guests got to connect with other incoming students and their families, learn about valuable resources available to them, view residence hall rooms and register for classes.
More than 4,000 students were expected to attend the orientation sessions in their first official visit to campus as OHIO Bobcats. Among those students were nearly 3,700 first-year students and more than 200 transfer students. In addition, more than 5,200 parents or guests of incoming OHIO Bobcats registered for BSO.
BSO allows new OHIO students and their guests to meet with faculty, staff and students and to gear up for fall semester through academic preparation and socialization.
Whether they are picking up their new OHIO IDs, meeting Rufus, checking out their new home away from home, or making new friends – Bobcats make the most of their two-day BSO sessions. One final orientation session will be held in August before classes begin. For more information about orientation, visit the BSO website . Check out some of these memorable moments from BSO 2019, and get ready to welcome these new Bobcats to Ohio University at Welcome Week in August!
