Dublin Entrepreneurial Center clients can compete for billions of dollars in government purchasing contracts through the center’s new partnership with the central Ohio office of Ohio University Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), a program of the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs.
“The DEC is very excited about partnering with Ohio University PTAC to bring more support to our tenants, as well as the many that seek guidance from our facility every month,” DEC Manager Chaz Freutel said. “This type of guidance can make a significant difference to the growth and success of small business.”
Located in Dublin’s Metro Center office campus, the Dublin Entrepreneurial Center is home to nearly 150 start-up companies. The DEC offers clients a variety of flexible office and modular spaces, a data center for secure information storage, and shared services such as reception and mail delivery. Clients also can work with business advisors, attend free educational programs, and collaborate with other start-up businesses in the building.
“Partnerships with the Dublin Entrepreneurial Center and other business resource centers are central to PTAC extending its reach and positively impacting more businesses across Ohio,” Ohio University PTAC Director Sharon Hopkins said.
The Procurement Technical Assistance Center is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Defense Logistics Agency. PTAC programs provide free services to help small businesses sell their products and services to local, state and federal government agencies. Ohio’s PTACs are supported by the Ohio Development Services Agency and local host organizations. Administered through the Voinovich School, Ohio University PTAC serves 62 of the state’s 88 counties. In 2019, Ohio University PTAC clients secured contracts worth over $952 million.
