The University Academic Advising Council (UAAC), which serves as the primary vehicle for sharing university-wide academic advising information, is seeking a new faculty co-chair. Currently co-chaired by Jenny Klein, executive director of academic advising and graduation plans, UAAC provides networking, professional development, and idea generation opportunities.
The faculty co-chair is responsible for meeting twice per semester to discuss UAAC agenda items, award nominations and future needs of Ohio University academic advising, in addition to leading the UAAC executive committee and meetings. Interested faculty members should contact Klein by June 1 to learn more about the position.
"The UAAC unites OHIO’s advising community around the theme of student success,” said Klein. “We provide support and resources for excellent academic advising across the University through training, collaboration, and information sharing.”
UAAC welcomes all academic advisors, and is specifically intended for faculty advising coordinators, professional academic advisors, and supporting offices that impact the academic success of students. The council meets regularly to share best practices, University updates and initiatives that impact advising at OHIO. Learn more about UAAC on the UAAC website.
