Ohio University’s Airport runway, located off U.S. Highway 50 in Lee Township, will close beginning Saturday, Aug. 26 at 7 a.m. and reopen Thursday, Aug. 31 at 7 a.m. for repainting. Only the full runway will close, meaning the airport will be open and helicopters can proceed as normal, however, no fixed wing aircraft traffic will be able to land or take off during this time.
The closure is part of a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant that was received to paint runway markings.
