Dr. Anne Scott
Dr. Anne Scott is a Spanish professor in the Department of Modern Languages in the College of Arts and Sciences.
"Dr. Scott is one of the few reasons I made it through online classes during the pandemic and has been my best support from choosing classes, studying abroad, and sharing wonderful teaching methods,” said a student who nominated Scott.
Lynnette Bush Clouse
Lynette Bush Clouse is an instructor and division coordinator for the Interior Architecture Online Program in the College of Fine Arts.
“She knows all the students she advises, and I feel like she believes in me and wants me to be successful,” said her nominator. “My advisor has been so supportive with my job hunt. She has been very encouraging to me this semester and given me lots of good advice about my recent struggles with school and finding an internship.”
Karen Corcoran
Karen Corcoran is the regional coordinator of professional internships in teaching for the Patton College of Education and the program coordinator of Middle Childhood Education at OHIO Chillicothe.
“She is always there when you need her,” said one of her students. “She wants nothing but the best for every student she comes in contact with. She is the most positive, uplifting, helpful person I have communicated with during my time at OUC. I would not have made it without her.”
Dr. Amy Wolfe
Dr. Amy Wolfe is an assistant professor in Teacher Education and coordinates the Early Childhood and Elementary Education and Associate of Child Development Programs on the Chillicothe campus.
“Amy has contributed to my success by constantly reaching out to check on me and make sure I’m doing okay with my classes and asks if there’s anything I need from her,” said the student who nominated her. "She has also been available for many phone calls I’ve had with her if there was something I needed to talk about. Through my four years of school, Amy has always encouraged me and challenged me to be better.”
Ray Rotella
Ray Rotella is an academic advisor on the OHIO Zanesville campus.
“The students that are advised by Ray not only complete their degree programs successfully but are provided with a one-man support system that I venture to say is unparalleled,” said Jennifer Kellner-Muscar, director of student services. “Ray knows his students. He takes the time to get to know them as human beings, and as such, he’s a much better advisor. Ray knows what sports his students’ kids play. He knows where they went to high school and what they want out of their dream jobs.”
Sarah Blazier
Sarah Blazier is an advisor for the Bachelor of Science in Technical Operations Management students and other OHIO Online students.
“I am nominating Sarah because of her exceptional dedication to her advisees,” said one of Blazier's students. “Her ability to promote a positive attitude, even during difficult circumstances, is truly inspiring and has helped me navigate challenging situations. Her empathy and attention to detail have made me feel heard, valued, and supported throughout my academic journey. Despite being an online student and having never met Sarah in person, she has made me feel connected to Ohio University in ways I did not expect.”
