Jennifer Russell joined the Innovation Center in October 2017 as the Accountant/Grant Accountant. She was promoted to Assistant Director in October 2021. In her current role with the IC, Jennifer assists Innovation Center clients with such activities as financial modeling, grant budget management, P&L reporting, projections, and other accounting assistance. She also assists clients with purchasing and shipping services. For the Innovation Center, she develops budget projections, monitors budgets, manages grant spending and expenses, reconciles accounts, coordinates payroll related to employee funding sources, and is responsible for purchasing and invoicing for the department.
Prior to joining the Innovation Center, Jennifer worked in the Grants Accounting department at Ohio University. In this role, her responsibilities included setting up grants in the grants accounting system for all departments across campus as well as monitoring spending of grant funds and invoicing customers. Jennifer has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration degree in Accounting Information Systems from Michigan State University.
