Elisabeth (Elis) Fricker, M.A.

Elis Fricker (pronouns they/them ) has an M.A. in Communication Studies from the University of South Dakota and an M.A. in History with a Graduate Certificate in Women and Gender Studies from North Dakota State University (NDSU). In between degrees, Elis worked as an adjunct instructor for classes across multiple disciplines and a site interpreter for the State Historical Society of North Dakota. Their research encompasses critical rhetoric, public memory, media, and queer and gender/sexuality studies to examine how mainstream education and media silence marginalized people and their experiences while also advocating for increased inclusion of marginalized histories and voices in those spaces.
