Don Zavesky
As the Procurement Specialist for the Ohio University APEX Accelerator supporting the Greater Cleveland area, Don Zavesky has a wealth of experience and knowledge in helping businesses achieve their goals and succeed. A native of Northeastern Ohio, Don has successfully started and managed his own small business; supported government contracts and prime contractors at the federal, state, and local levels; and assisted a variety of business types, including large corporations, small businesses, woman-owned, veteran-owned, and minority-owned businesses.
With a diverse background in business development, marketing, program management, contract administration, and corporate operations, Don has the expertise to provide his clients with the information and support they need to grow and thrive. He has also been a team member of the SBDC Network, where he worked to help businesses get established and growing.
Don earned his BA from the University of Akron. He maintains a Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) certification with the Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (APTAC) and is a certified counselor for the Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE). He has also achieved the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) Bid and Proposal Certification. Don’s education combined with his extensive business experience gives him the ability to help Ohio businesses identify, bid on, win, and successfully grow in support of government contracts and subcontracts.
