Aaron Kirby

Aaron is a 2016 graduate of Ohio University majoring in Entrepreneurship. During his time at Ohio University, he had the opportunity through entrepreneurship courses to work as a business consultant for several local businesses in Athens, Ohio as well as participating in the Global Consulting Program in Ancona, Italy where he gained international consulting experience. It was from the consulting experiences in college that he developed a passion for helping small businesses especially in his home region of Southeast Ohio.

After graduation, Aaron jumped into the business world by helping to start a new restaurant in his hometown of Jackson, Ohio where he worked as the General Manager after the start-up phase. Aaron took that experience and moved to managing a much larger restaurant/brewery in Athens, Ohio.

Aaron is extremely passionate about Southeast Ohio and wants to see the region thrive. To help bolster economic development in the region, Aaron joined the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service first in 2018 as a Business Development Associate for TechGROWTH Ohio where he worked with regional tech start-up companies. Aaron joined the Social Enterprise Ecosystem (SEE) in 2022 as the Social Enterprise Development Associate to make more of an impact in the region by providing business advisory services to mission-based entities.

In his free time, Aaron loves spending time enjoying the beauty of Southeast Ohio. Aaron enjoys mountain biking, riding motorcycles, and spending most evenings playing a round of golf with his wife.
