Athens Freshman
You are a freshman applicant if you have or will soon receive a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) diploma.

Athens Transfer
You are a transfer applicant if you have completed more than 9 semester (12 quarter) hours at another institution after you graduated from high school.

Regional Campus
Freshman, transfer and international students can apply directly to OHIO’s Chillicothe, Eastern, Lancaster, Southern and Zanesville campuses. Select programs are available for international students at regional campuses, and certificate students can apply to OHIO Lancaster.

International
You are an international applicant if you have or will have a temporary visa and do not have U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident status (a “green card”).

Online
You are an online applicant if you plan to work toward an associate or bachelor's degree taking only OHIO Online™ classes. The online application priority date and transcript submission deadline are dependent on the entering semester.

College Credit Plus
You are a College Credit Plus (CC+) applicant if you plan to earn college credit and satisfy high school graduation requirements at the same time by taking college-level courses.

Nondegree
You are a nondegree applicant if you plan to take a limited number of courses at OHIO and are not interested in earning a degree at this time. If you later wish to enter a degree program, you will need to reapply for admission.

Re-Enrolling
You are a re-enrolling applicant if you were previously enrolled as a degree-seeking student at OHIO and decided to take a fall or spring semester off (or longer) before returning. Taking the summer off does not make you a re-enrolling student.

Summer
Summer applicants are local high school students, special camp or workshop attendees, students getting an early start on fall enrollment, or students officially enrolled at another university but attending courses during the summer at OHIO.

Incoming freshman, transfer and international students can apply to Ohio University through the Common App. Common App streamlines your overall college application process by allowing you to apply to multiple colleges at once.
