Ohio University's Sport Analytics certificate program is designed to equip undergraduate students with cutting-edge skills and knowledge in the rapidly evolving and growing field of sport analytics. Sports analysts may analyze data, statistics and trends and use the information to advise players and coaches who wish to improve performance.
Through this certificate program, you'll learn how to use on-and-off-field analytics and gain the technical skills that are critical to successful analytics implementation in sports. You'll work with data from sport teams to develop insights and hone your technical skills.

Curriculum
Through Ohio University's undergraduate Sport Analytics certificate program, you'll gain a solid foundation in data analytics and learn how to successfully implement analytics into sport. You'll gain hands-on experience by:
- working with data from sport teams do develop insight and hone technical skills
- strategically using on-and-off-field analytics through practical implementation
- providing valuable insights and recommendations based on analytics data

Courses in Sport Analytics
The Sport Analytics certificate requires the completion of a minimum of 18 semester hours.
Introductory Analytics Requirement
Complete one of the following courses:
- QBA 1720 - Introduction to Information Analysis and Descriptive Analytics
- QBA 1721 - Introduction to Information Analysis and Descriptive Analytics for Nonmajors
Required Courses
Complete the following courses:
- MIS 2800 - Business Intelligence and Information Management
- QBA 2720 - Business Analytics
- QBA 3720 - Predictive Analytics
- SASM 4200 - Sport Analytics
- SASM 4600 - Advanced Sport Analytics
Note: Students completing the Business Analytics co-major cannot use SASM 4200 as their capstone.
