Capital planning integrates planning and budgeting processes, while embracing and supporting the University's long-term goals and priorities for responsible growth and development. It also involves developing strategic and logistical capital plans to support physical assets such as buildings, open space, infrastructure, communications technology, equipment, and maintenance.
Capital Improvement Planning
The goal of our capital improvement plan is to transform the condition and functionality of Ohio University's facilities by planning broadly to capture the totality of the conditions and needs of physical campus assets, while maintaining our existing facilities to minimize the backlog of deferred maintenance. We strive through the plan to achieve accessible and healthy facilities that are efficient, safe, and contribute towards our goals of sustainability and providing adequate space for new and expanding academic programs. The capital improvement plan is a living document that continually evolves as needs arise.
