Dr. Jatin Srivastava is a professor at the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. He is also the Associate Director for Graduate Studies at the school.
Dr. Srivastava’s teaching experience ranges from graduate seminars in mass communication theory and digital media research to undergraduate courses on graphic design and news and information literacy.
His research is rooted in theory-based exploration of the new media environment. He is also extremely interested in issues related to interactions between media and society in India and has worked on book chapters and research articles exploring issues related to new media and health communication in Indian environments. His research has appeared in international journals such as Computers in Human Behavior, Communication Review, Journal of Health Communication, Communication Research, Human Communication Research and Telematics and Informatics. He has also presented his research at various international conferences organized by Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC), National Communication Association (NCA), and International Communication Association (ICA).
