Sam Belkin
Dr. Sam Belkin joined the Planning, Evaluation, Education and Research team at the Voinovich School to work on various education and social services projects. Skilled in both qualitative and quantitative methods, Sam advocates for an interdisciplinary, mixed methods approach to research and evaluation projects. Dr. Belkin is passionate about expanding interdisciplinary research to engage with non-academic audiences. In pursuit of this passion, he has utilized a figurational approach to address various topics of academic and non-academic interest alike including popular culture, digital communications, tattoos/body modifications, identity, stigma, art, and sport. Sam holds a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Leicester, a master’s degree in sociocultural anthropology from Northern Arizona University, and an undergraduate degree in anthropology and art from the University of Miami.
