Mission Statement
The Student Alumni Board’s (SAB) mission is to establish and strengthen a connection between current students and the Alumni Association by creating programs and activities that open doors to students and connect alums to campus.
Interested in Joining?
You should be! The Student Alumni Board accepts a new member class twice a year, once in the early fall semester and once in early spring. Come to our open house, learn more about us, and see if you’re interested! If you are, you will be placed on an email list to get all the info about applications and due dates. Following the application deadline, there will be an in-person interview. If accepted, you will spend your first semester as a new member, learning the ropes and checking off requirements before officially being inducted! Here are some tips to keep in mind!

What opportunities do I gain if I join?
- As a member of SAB, you are automatically exposed to many different event opportunities, including networking, engaging with alums, volunteer work, self-growth, and experience as a professional individual.
What is the time commitment after becoming a member?
- After inductions, full board members must get 15 points per semester. Points can be earned by attending events that VPs plan or taking on a Project Manager position on your committee. All members are also required to attend a 1-hour meeting every Sunday night.
What events is the Student Alumni Board involved in on campus?
- SAB is best known for planning Yell Like Hell, and Baker Birthday Bash on campus, but we also do many smaller-scale events throughout the year, both externally and internally.
