Assistance / Functions of the Grant Development Team

  • Assist with proposal submission strategies (agency identification, deadlines, follow-up)
  • Coordinate development of proposals among Russ College faculty, staff, and external entities
  • Prepare proposal development timelines (section completion deadlines)
  • Assist with identifying potential collaborators
  • Narrative composition: assist with development of non-technical proposal sections and supplementary documents
  • Interpretation of university and sponsor guidelines to ensure compliance
  • Electronic proposal formatting
  • Budget development, budget revisions, and budget narrative (justification) development
  • Completion of all required submission forms
  • Copy editing (proposals and reports)
  • Proofreading (proposals and reports)
  • Develop and conduct proposal development workshops
  • Serve as a liaison with the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs and other university departments

Subcontractor/Subawardee Information

If you have included a subcontract or subaward from Ohio University to another institution in your project, Ohio University requires a signed letter of participation from their Research Office, or the equivalent. This form must be signed by the authorized institutional official, not the subcontractor/ subawardee Principal Investigator (PI).
