Nancy Vandeman has spent the past 18 years in higher education; 10 years at Hocking College where she served as Executive Assistant to two presidents and Secretary to the Board of Trustees. In 2015, she was hired by Ohio University in the College of Arts and Sciences as an Accounting Support Specialist for the English Department and more recently handled compliance and accounting support for the Dean’s Office.
Nancy grew up in Berea, Ohio and married her junior high school sweetheart. Out of college, they moved to Sydney, Australia where her husband taught music education at North Sydney Boys High School. After six years, they made the difficult decision to leave the beautiful city of Sydney and return stateside to be closer to family. They have since lived in Chicago, IL; Simsbury, CT; and Tustin, CA before coming full circle to their favorite home state of Ohio in 2002. Athens county is where they finished raising their family of three Bobcat daughters who have proudly worked and studied at OHIO.
Any precious hours of free time are spent enjoying her four grandkids with just enough time squeezed in for sewing, quilting, mowing the lawn, and reading cookbooks and historical novels.
