The Ohio University Campus Involvement Center (CIC) will host three free events in the coming weeks as part of its How To Series.
The events will take place in the Baker University Center Theater Lobby at 7 p.m. on Oct. 25, Nov. 1. And Nov. 8. Each event will feature a different activity. Mary Berger, a senior studying publication design and the events’ planner, said no prior knowledge about the activities is required.
“Each week everyone has the opportunity to learn something new and/or express their creative side,” Berger said.
On Oct. 25, attendees will learn how to make decoration covers for candy bars. On Nov. 1, they will learn to make animal magnets. On Nov. 8, they will learn how to make wood slab paintings.
“Besides learning a new skill, the series could be a good study break or way to hang with friends on Monday nights,” Berger said.
Berger said the How To Series has been around for a few years and is meant to be an opportunity for students to learn new skills as well as be social and creative. The activity for each event usually depends on current trends and the time of year.
