The National Championships will be held June 5- 14, during which the finalists will fulfill spots assignments for additional scholarship awards ranging from $1,500 to $10,000. National Championships will also be held in the categories of writing, audio, television and multimedia. The 2021 Championships will once again be held as a virtual event.
The 61st annual Hearst Journalism Awards Program is conducted under the auspices of accredited schools of the Association of Schools of Journalism and Mass Communication and fully funded and administered by the William Randolph Hearst Foundation.
