Bobcats revel in Welcome Week
Welcome Week has come and gone, leaving another generation of Bobcats with memories they are bound to carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Welcome Week has come and gone, leaving another generation of Bobcats with memories they are bound to carry with them for the rest of their lives.
“I loved seeing the excitement and energy of our first-year and transfer students at opening and Welcome Week events,” said Kathy Fahl, interim dean of students at Ohio University. “Even the rain at the Involvement Fair didn’t dampen the smiles and engagement of our students. I hope that as students progress through the semester they continue to reach out for connection and support.”
OHIO’s Welcome Week is a celebration for new and returning students and a defining moment in the memories of generations of Bobcats. Not only does it provide fun activities to allow students build social networks that they will carry with them for a lifetime, but it also allows new Bobcats to feel more connected and supported by the University. The events also serve to introduce students to faculty, staff and OHIO’s many resources.
