Course Extensions
Print-Based Courses
To compensate for delays that may occur in shipping/receipt of materials/grading, extension requests may be granted as follows:

Extensions are not automatic and must be requested by mailing the extension request form, which is included in the course guide. Students may appeal the print-based course extension guidelines when extenuating circumstances are involved. All appeals will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Course Credit by Examination
Extension requests may be granted as follows:

Correctional Education Print-Based Course Extensions
The course extension policy is different for Correctional Education students taking print-based courses.

Extensions are not automatic and must be requested by mailing the extension request form which is included in the course guide. Students may appeal the print-based course extension guidelines when extenuating circumstances are involved. Typically, circumstances related to the student’s incarceration, such as solitary confinement, moves, etc., are not considered extenuating. If an extenuating circumstance exists, the advisor must be notified within the first six months of enrollment. All appeals will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
