Biography
Patricia Hamilton Gyi (PHG) was the Director of Equity Programs at the Ohio University (OU) College of Osteopathic Medicine from approximately 1988 to 2002. In her role as director, PHG was involved in several committees dealing with the college's equity, diversity, and affirmative action issues. Prior to this position, PHG was an assistant dean in OU’s College of Communication. In 1987, she became the first African American to serve on the Athens City Council. She retired from OU in 2002.
