The Athens 'A' News collection contains five issues of the Athens 'A' News: The 'A' is for Alternative newspaper. Published by Bruce Mitchell in the spring of 1977 this publication sought to provide an alternative news source to the Athens community including sections such as Dope-A-Scope, Landlord of the year, student activism, music and arts reviews, and poetry.
