Sketches, sketchbook, catalog draft materials
Scope and Contents
The contents of Box Four include: 1) a legal sized folder containing a variety of sketches for sculptures and paper of various dimensions. The folder has been wrapped in tissue paper to protect the contents; 2) a sketchbook (Magic Visualizations), the leaves of which are now mostly loose, containing sketches for sculpture; 3) a “File’NView” display book for “The Classical Sculpture of Jack Baldwin Retrospective 1956-1987”. This appears to be a mock-up for a printed catalog. It contains photographs of Baldwin and his artworks in black and white and color, and several slides. Also included is text by Dr. Charles Dietz, Director, Zanesville Art Center, and an “Introduction” by noted author and Ohio University department of English faculty member, Hollis Summers.
