Historical Note
Handwritten on first page, "Note: Between May 18 and May 21, 1969, 875 signatures were obtained on this petition by volunteers who presented it to citizens of Athens County. It was then presented to the Commissioners at their meeting on May 22, 1969, and seemed to have had some influence on their eventual abandonement of the Carroll Road plan. E. Raymond March, 1978."
