History 212 “American History”, Winter 1982-1983
Scope and Content
The Robert Allen McInnes undergraduate papers span from 1981 to 1985 and document four years at Ohio University. The collection is organized chronologically by quarter. The first folder contains a more detailed autobiographical statement by McInnes about his life.
Not every single piece of paper that McInnes ever wrote or received during his undergraduate years is included in this collection. Nevertheless, this collection constitutes one of the more complete collections of undergraduate student papers. The item missing from this collection with perhaps the most significance is the undergraduate catalogue used by McInness which included handwritten notations to indicate which classes he needed to fulfill the requirements of graduation. This is a published item (and a copy of the 1981-82 undergraduate catalogue is available in the Ohio University Archives).
Following the folders containing the student papers, there are color photos showing Ohio University campus scenes, Athens city scenes, Phi Alpha Theta (history honorary) induction, and graduation during his senior year.
