Series 1: Diary
Scope and Content
The Sir Edmund John Monson papers include a diary and four letter books. The diary details Monson's travels from June 25 to July 13, 1853. The letter books are written by Monson to various members of the British and other royalty, nobility and the political sector, and discuss political issues. Recipients include Queen Victoria, the King of Belgium, and Lord Salisbury. The letters books are dated between December 1891 to April 1903 and contain indices of contents.
