Scope and Content

From the Collection:

The collection contains the personal papers of Fred and Evelyn Luchs including sermons, photographs, memory books, diaries, newspaper articles and letters.

This collection begins with sermons written by Luchs, arranged by date (box 1) and alphabetical order by title (boxes 2 and 3). Also contained in box 3 are Luchs' prayers. Next, there are publications by Fred and Evelyn arranged by date, along with brochures and advertising materials (box 4). There are a large quantity of letters arranged alphabetically (box 5), and personal letters, cards, etc. written by Fred and Evelyn, and their family and friends (box 6). Many newspaper and magazine articles were published about Luchs and his family (box 7), which are arranged in chronological order.

In addition to these things, this collection contains a variety of scrapbooks, photo albums (box 9), mounting books (box 11), and photos (box 8). Some of the scrapbooks consist of "A Tribute to Dr. Luchs" (box 9), celebration of Luchs 25th (box 10), and 50th (box 12) Anniversary in Ministry, Luchs pastorate in Athens (box 13) and England (box 11), and a diary of weddings Luchs performed.
