Scope and Content
From the Collection:
The Calvin C. Hernton Collection consists primarily of manuscripts, notes, and research materials relating to four of his published books: The Cannabis Experience; The Coming of Chronos to the House of NIghtsong; Medicine Man; and, The Sexual Mountain and Black Women Writers. In addition, the collection contains over 200 manuscripts of individual poems, published and unpublished, written between 1960 and 1980.
