Walton family collection
Scope and Content
The Walton family collection spans from 1950 to 1952 and contains items collected by James B. Walton (JBW) and his wife while JBW was employed at Ohio University (OU). The collection includes Faculty Wives Club booklets; Newcomers Club booklets; invitations from President and Mrs. Baker to attend dinners; OU theatre programs; a "Know Your Library" pamphlet; an "Ohio University Students Say Hello" informational booklet; and a photo spread on Athens city from Columbus Citizen newspaper. The items in this collection are in excellent condition, they are housed in one Hollinger box.

Biography of James B. Walton
James B. Walton was employed as a librarian from 1950 to 1952. Little is known about Mr. Walton or his wife. He had an A.B. and an M.S.L.S. He lived at 82 West Union while on campus. These items were donated on March 27, 2000.
