History of Bricklayers, Masons, and Plasterers' International Union of America, Local 52
The Bricklayers, Masons, and Plasterers' International Union of America was established in 1865 and is the oldest continuous union in the United States and Canada. It is now known as The International Union of Bricklayer and Allied Craft Workers. Local 52 was founded sometime around 1931 and still exists as of 2006.

Acquisition Information
The Ohio University Archives received the first six boxes of the collection in April 1982 from Gail E. Cain, Financial Secretary Treasurer of Local 52.
